God Gives Strength

Isaiah 40:29, 31

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint,” Isaiah 40:31.

I tend to be like a runaway train. I go and go until I crash. I should seriously slow down a little sometimes, but I have a difficult time doing that. I know it is not healthy. And when I do hit that wall I am absolutely beat.

Maybe you can relate? We all get tired. It really does not matter how young you are, old you are or how in shape you are physically everyone gets tired. We experience times of exhaustion. We all hit the wall of fatigue. This can happen physically, mentally, emotionally and even spiritually. Being “flat worn out” is just a part of life sometimes. But God’s strength never fails. He is omnipotent or all-powerful. He has the means to give strength and power to the weary.

The great thing is that God is never too tired to or too busy to assist us in our walk. He is never too weary to listen to our needs.

What do we do when we get worn down and worn out? That is when we allow His strength to become our strength. Only God can sustain us in weakness. God alone is the only one who can help us press on when we are at our end.

Through God we can find the strength to keep moving, running and soaring!

Are you looking to God as the provider of strength when you find yourself weary?
