Dr. Gabi Avitai, the chief scientist of Israel’s  Education Ministry, was fired for calling a theory a theory. He said in an interview that the flaws of evolution should be taught. Dr. Gabi Avitai advocated for adding creationism to the school curriculum after saying that a human being is not just a “substance without a soul.”

Dr. Avitai was regularly attacked by the liberal Israeli media immediately upon being hired because he is a scientist who believes strongly in the Bible.

Dr. Avitai noted the ludicrous message that his firing sends – that a chief scientist, a recognized expert, cannot and should not be heard if his findings and views oppose those of the established mainstream.

Those athiests, agnostic, and politically correct people can only argue by silencing, slandering, or out shouting those that hold opposite views. The reason for this is their arguments are devoid of logic and reason. They fear that given both sides of the coin, they would lose. They are right. Even stifling creationist, they have not gained a majority. The words they give are so empty of truth that very few converts to their side would be gained if both sides were given equal footing.

Therefore silence the views and findings of creation and allow the minority to regulate and rule at whim.Technorati Tags: , , , ,

  1. Yes, lets teach our school children creationism, as opposed to evolution, and see how much further we fall back in terms of math and science. We’re already falling behind the rest of the world in nanotechnology and other sciences, meaning we will be buying our energy and technology from other countries. — My point is, God and science do not have to be at odds. There are many scientists who believe in God, and many preachers who understand evolution. Evolution does not refute God, unless you take the bible 100% literally. One should never let their faith in god waiver simply because they learn about science.


    • Devin, there is no disagreement between proven science and the Bible. The Bible has always taught the earth is round and scientist finally discovered in Columbus days that it is round. The key is proven and not theory. You are too young to remember when the Bible was used in schools to teach reading and english. Education was not falling behind in those days. Find a test that was given to high school students in the early 1900’s and many college students today would have difficulty making a passing grade. You are fixated on the wrong problem. Sorry.


  2. Hmm? šŸ™‚ I’m not arguing evolution vs. creationism, I’m just making a statement that God and Evolution can live in harmony. Genetic evolution is proven, as seen in tests with Foxes/Dogs in the mid 50’s. You are referring to Primate Evolution into mankind, I assume. Making man in god’s image, etc. I won’t argue that, because that’s your belief and more power to you. However, it doesn’t have to be all or nothing, as many people frame it. IE, Only God, or Only Science. They can live together. šŸ™‚ —-

    Anyway, to reflect on your Theory question — Gravity is a theory. Relativity is a theory. Evolution is a theory. However, not in the layman’s definition of “theory”. Scientific Theory is different than the general definition of Theory.

      Gravity can be demonstrate. Theory is speculation. It cannot be demonstrated or reproduced. Now I have not (obviously) studied in the depth that you have on evolution or science, yet the things I read relate to the definition that Websters has given. I the original objection given was the teaching of creation degrading our school system. The 1960’s when I went through public school is the line of demarcation that began our slide to mediocrity in education. peace also.


  3. I’ll add that I think a lot of the fall of education has to do with people’s impatience and selfishness. Broken homes, instant gratification, not wanting to work hard for what we need or want. Television has a lot to do with it too — which spawned a sort of disconnect among families and friends. šŸ™‚ As far as theory, the scientific theory of evolution in some mammals has been repeated in the 1950s with foxes. But I don’t want to argue with you, just saying there’s a difference in Theory vs. Scientific Theory. Its kind of confusing. šŸ™‚


    • Devin, agreed. May I add one thing to the reasons for decline in education. In the 60’s, corporal punishment was used and that caused classrooms to be more orderly than what they are today. That promoted a better atmosphere for learning. Thanks for the discussion.

    Having taught public school, with corporal punishment , I agree.
